Exporting event reports

Export Detection events from Vidsy AI as CSV, Excel, or PDF. Excel and PDF reports use your own Excel template, so you can easily customize the layout, branding, calculations, and print setup.

Export a report

  1. Open the Home tab and find the Exchange section.
  2. Click Export.
  3. Choose All bundles, Current bundle, or Selected recordings.
  4. Choose a destination ending in .csv, .xlsx, or .pdf. The extension selects the format.
  5. For Excel or PDF, select an .xlsx template.
  6. Choose whether to include the header row or open the file after export.
  7. Click Export.

Excel and PDF options

  • Worksheet name: Leave blank to use the first worksheet.
  • Start cell: Leave blank to start at A1, or enter a cell such as B4.
  • PDF layout: Vidsy creates the PDF from the populated Excel template and uses its supported print settings.

The export contains the events in the selected scope, including their times, event name, message, source, and mapped inspection code. Project-specific export mappings can also expose retained assignment, location, and project values to the template.

Include snapshots

Excel and PDF reports can include frames selected from Detection events. In the Event list, click an event icon to select its recommended snapshot, or right-click it to choose an exact frame. The report template determines which events are included, how snapshots are grouped and sorted, and where each image and label appear.

If a frame cannot be rendered, the rest of the report is still created and Vidsy reports which snapshots were skipped. CSV output remains text-only.

For complete pipe-inspection XML rather than a tabular report, see Importing and exporting inspection assignments.
